Welcome to IPIC 5th Edition in Vilamoura
IPOPI is delighted to invite you all to participate in the next International Primary Immunodeficiencies Congress – IPIC 5th Edition – which will be held in Vilamoura (Algarve), Portugal, on 27-29 April 2022.
IPIC was initially planned to take place in Germany in November 2021 but in light of on-going developments with COVID-19 and additional unexpected logistical circumstances, IPIC was moved to April 2022 and to Portugal! Our decision is rooted in our determination to offer an optimized solution for our delegates and community.
We are excited to be back in Portugal the birthplace of IPIC for this fifth edition of the congress and have chosen a great venue (the Algarve Congress Center) located in Southern Portugal and a mere 15 min away from Faro international airport, with other nearby airports in Lisbon and Sevilla (Spain).
IPIC 5th Edition will bring together clinicians with an interest in primary immunodeficiencies (PIDs)/human inborn errors of immunity (IEI) alongside leading physicians in the field, patient organisation representatives, nurses and other interested stakeholders. The Congress will build on our previous events and promises to deliver a diverse and stimulating programme on the state of the art of diagnosis and clinical care of PIDs. Prepare yourself for a scientific programme and for a in-person congress experience that will be well worth the wait!
IPIC has established itself as one of the leading international congresses on PID clinical care with a unique approach to its scientific programme underpinned by its focus on patient-centredness. With a truly international impact the congress has earned its definite place and role in the PID clinical landscape. The CME-accredited clinical programmes of IPIC are designed to complement other existing international congresses focusing on research such as the APSID, ASID, ESID and LASID congresses. The uniqueness and the cornerstone of IPIC’s success is its well-balanced appealing scientific programme which is clinically orientated and prepared with input from key PID stakeholders: doctors, patients and nurses.
The programme will feature international key opinion leaders in the field and seek to engage international delegates through thought-provoking and interactive sessions. Key topics will include, among others: PIDs and allergies, Management of Gastrointestinal and Hepatic manifestations, Genetic diagnosis, Malignancy spectrum of PIDs, Autoimmunity and autoinflammation manifestations, Ethical considerations, Viral infections and much more!
We look forward to welcoming you in Vilamoura!
